The “Raffaello” Collection of cachepots is a true
Italian classic and certainly the most popular pattern from the
Italian town of Deruta. The Raffaello design trace origins from
the XVI Century graceful arabesques of painter Raphael famous
frescoes. The central motif of the Raffaellesco pattern is a stylized
dragon. Raphael, master painter and architect of the Italian High
Renaissance, reputedly first painted Raffaellesco (also known as the
Dragon), pattern.
All cachepots by Artistica are water tight ceramics fully glazed
inside and out making them water and leak-free. Although these
cachepots were designed for plants and decorative purposes, they are
food-safe.
